John Murphy Workshop Information
(Equipment, Handout, Books, and Videos)

Handout and Copying Instructions. I will send the camera-ready handout for my training workshop at least 10 days prior to the workshop. The handout should be copied and collated/stapled into one packet with the cover page and “About the Presenter” page copied front and back. All remaining pages can also be copied front and back if desired.
Equipment. Unless otherwise noted, equipment needs are as follows:
· Laptop computer with Power Point software and remote control for advancing the slides
· LCD projector for power point slides (can also be used for DVD/videos if equipment is set up accordingly)
· DVD player and monitor(s) [number of monitors will depend on room size and
arrangement] unless LCD projector (listed above) is used to project videotapes
· Flip chart (newsprint) on easel (with markers)
· Audio cassette tape player (small boom box is fine for this purpose)
· 2 large table(s) in front of room for workshop materials
· 3 chairs in front of room for demonstrations
Book/Video Materials and Contacts: Many agencies have presenter-related materials such as books and
videos available to workshop participants for onsite purchase. Both book publishers have agreed to offer
discounted rates for books at my training workshops along with the option to return any unsold materials at no
extra cost. If you pursue this, I would appreciate it if you would arrange for someone to manage the book
sales and transactions immediately before and after the workshop and during breaks. I am happy to sign any
books and materials purchased at my trainings, as well as helping any way I can to expedite the process of
